PUBLIC Chicago, the first hotel to open under Ian Schrager’s new brand, is turning one year old. To mark the anniversary, Schrager has announced that it will bring his New York City Studio 54 to Chicago for a one night only event at PUBLIC on October 9.
The party will pay homage to the renowned New York City club complete with original Studio 54 personalities, including DJ Johnny “Jellybean” Benitez and doorman Mark Benecke. Sirius Radio will broadcast live interviews as well as as the event’s music on its Studio 54 Channel, throughout the night.
This is the first time that Schrager will host a Studio 54 event.
Located in the former Ambassador East hotel building in Chicago’s upscale Gold Coast neighborhood, PUBLIC Chicago is the first property to open under Ian Schrager’s new brand PUBLIC Hotels. It is home to the Library Bar and Screening Room, as well as the re-imagined Pump Room restaurant and bar with menus by Jean Georges Vongerichten.
