Travelers Learn From Master Photographers

Mara Bushtops

Calling all travelers with a knack or passion for photography, we’ve got some packages you will want to book. Now, vacationers can travel on safari and learn about photography along the way. Best part? Guests will get a chance to photograph elusive wildlife with the help of top photographers.

This summer, Bushtops Camps is offering a three-day, three-night photography tour at Mara and Serengeti camps. Guests will learn photography tips and will be led by international, award-winning photographer, Mark Gee. Travelers will be able to capture wildlife photography on safari drives during the day, and then, at night, they will capture the natural stars, moon and the Milky Way without light pollution. The class will be held at Mara Bushtops this June and at Serengeti Bushtops in July. Note: Amateur and professional photographers are invited, as several level of lessons will be available.Photo

Another photography package takes travelers on a safari though Brazil’s Pantanal Wilderness with Ciclismo Classico. This experience will be led by master photographer Ossian Lindholm who will teach photography lessons along the journey. Guests will explore the Amazon Rainforest, the Brazillan Savannah and Paraguayan Chaco, capturing images of giant anteaters, caiman, capybaras, howler monkeys, giant river otters, the Hyacinth Macaw and, hopefully, a jaguar (cameras ready). Guests will stay at working plantations called fazendas and will tour the wetlands by motorboats to increase the chance of spotting jaguars. Note: This is not a cycling tour, and it runs from August 28 through September 5.
