Hotel Buzz: Mantis Opens Luxe Lodge in Rwanda

We hear that Mantis, which manages luxury boutique hotels and game reserves, is extending into Rwanda with the Nyungwe Forest Lodge, slated to open March 14 and located on the edge of the Nyungwe closed-canopy rainforest.

Each of the 24 suites will offer forest views and come equipped with air-conditioning, fireplaces, and flat screen televisions with digital satellite.

Dining options abound. The lodge hosts a bistro with an outdoor heated swimming pool, a boma for al fresco dining, a restaurant with private terrace, a tea lounge and bar.

Guests can unwind at the relaxation retreat which has two treatment rooms, a Jacuzzi and a fitness center.

Rates start at $400 per person per night and include accommodation, breakfast and dinner and selected beverages.
