Jetset Report: JetPurple Moves Into Phoenix and LA, United's New Meals

From private terminal flights to new dining options, here are the latest developments in air travel. 

JetPurple, which bills itself as "private jet travel for the public," has announced plans for six new routes from Phoenix and Los Angeles starting in 2016. 

The new flights, which go directly from private terminal to private terminal, will operate in Phoenix four times a week on each route between Scottsdale Airport and San Diego, Las Vegas, and Puerto Penasco. For greater Los Angeles, flights will operate four times a week on each route between Bob Hope Burbank Airport and Shanghai, Seoul, and Singapore.

In-Flight Dining

In in-flight dining news, United Airlines has unveiled new meal and snack options in its premium cabins. 

In collaboration with chefs affiliated with The Trotter Project, United will add new choices to its United BusinessFirst menu on the airline's p.s. Premium Service, including roasted duck and flat-iron steak, and also offer a variety of new premium-cabin selections, including a salad with grilled salmon for lunch, on flights in other North America markets.
