La Petit Maison to Hold Pop-Up in Mauritius

La Petite Maison is heading to Mauritius, bringing some of its culinary expertise to a pop-up at Shangri-La’s Le Touessrok Resort & Spa, Mauritius, coming up from February 13 – 19, 2017. The collaboration will redesign the space at the Republik Beach Club & Grill, one of the six culinary concepts at Shangri-La’s Le Touessrok Resort & Spa, transforming it into the intimate La Petite Maison atmosphere.

The pop-up will boast La Petite Maison’s signature décor and table displays, providing a live band strolling amongst the tables to create an authentic French elegance. During the one week pop-up, diners will dine on the French and Italian fare that has made La Petite Maison a favorite among high profile guests, locals and visitors alike.

The pop-up menu is heavily influenced by Cuisine Nicoise, a traditional cooking method that originated in Nice, France, where La Petite Maison also originated. The menu incorporates Alpine and Mediterranean ingredients to create the French and Italian cuisines, including signature dishes like wild Sesa Bass fricassee, beef filet with black pepper, truffle pasta, crayfish linguine, “Petits farcis” stuffed vegetables served Provençal style and authentic “Pissaladière” from Nice.

Executive Chef of La Petite Maison and Chef de Cuisine of Republik Beach Club and Grill are the masterminds behind the pop-up menu. Anne-Laure Rubi, daughter of the founder of La Petite Maison Nice, will be at Le Touessrok orchestrating the collaboration between the hospitality and gastronomy icons. With her she’ll bring seasonal French ingredients along with the other elements known to create the La Petite Maison experience.

Diners will experience the combination of authentic La Petite Maison dishes in the vibrant setting that Republik Beach Club & Grill is known for. The pop-up will be just one of many upcoming events that will further solidify Le Touessrok as one of the leading lifestyle destinations of the Indian Ocean.

Good to Know: the new Cote d’Azur style café environment will also offer guests of the resort an eight-course menu for dinner, available daily, as well as a brunch menu available exclusively on Saturday and Sunday, February 18 and 19.
