Luxury Collection to Open Napa Valley Resort in 2015

New luxury is moving into prime Napa real estate. We hear that The Luxury Collection will open Las Alcobas, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Napa Valley in the fall of 2015 after completing a multi-million dollar renovation that will transform the former Grandview Hotel & Spa.

Las Alcobas will feature 57 guest rooms and suites, a signature restaurant, a 3,500-square-foot spa, an outdoor pool, meeting facilities and more. The man behind the design is Yabu Pushelberg. The hotel sits on 3.4 acres and consists of the historic Acacia House, which was built as a private residence in 1907 and converted into a hotel in 1911, as well as several cottages that were added in the 1940s. The re-use project will reconfigure existing structures, preserve the architecture and add necessary modern touches to the guest rooms.

Las Alcobas will be next door to Beringer Wine Estate in the community of St. Helena. It is walking distance to the Culinary Institute of America and the restaurants, art galleries and boutiques of downtown St. Helena. It’s also a short drive to several golf courses and winders.
