Rosewood Mayakoba's New Dining Concept

Foodies will flock to Mayakoba this fall with the opening of La Ceiba Garden & Kitchen at Rosewood Mayakoba. The 20,000-square-foot outdoor dining concept introduces a new type of experience to the region. La Ceiba was designed as an interactive environment for guests to partake in cooking demonstrations, tastings and even foraging for their own produce from more than 45 types of organic vegetation. The al fresco kitchen and garden, which serves only food cooked over an open flame in accordance with Mayan tradition, features a variety of organic fruits and vegetables, Mexican herbs and spices, and more than 20 different sections designated for planting.

The menu serves up classic and modern Mexican dishes (think octopus ceviche and duck tostadas with mole sauce). Specialty dishes include the popular Cochinita pibil and dessert will be updated classics like churros with hot chocolate and oven-roased fruit cobbler.
