From Beijing to Dubai: The Expansion of Bulgari Hotels

Bulgari Hotel Beijing

Bulgari Hotels first appeared on the scene in 2001: a joint venture between Marriott International and Bulgari, the renowned Italian jeweler and luxury goods retailer. Current properties in Milan, Bali, and London get high marks for their design flair and service quality, so we’ve been keeping tabs on the brand’s expansion plans.

In addition to Shanghai (2016) and Dubai (2018), Bulgari Hotels recently announced that a new Beijing hotel is in the works for early 2017. According to the official website, the Bulgari Hotel Beijing will be situated in the Embassy District, facing the Liangma River, not far from the Sanlitun quarter. “It is conceived as a link between the discerning traveller in search of nature and art, and the sophisticated elite of Beijing.”

Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners, the Italian architecture firm, is working on the design. There will be 120 rooms and suites, and facilities will include the Bulgari Bar; il Ristorante; a ballroom; a park; and a sprawling spa with a 25-meter pool.
