Mandarin Oriental, Sanya Appoints New General Manager

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Paul Jackson as general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Sanya in China effective immediately.

Jackson has more than 24 years experience in the hospitality industry, and began his career with Mandarin Oriental in 2006 as executive assistant manager, food and beverage at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong.

He was then promoted to resident manager at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok in 2008 where he was instrumental in successfully managing the renovation of the hotel’s rooms and suites and maintaining the service and product quality of this flagship property.

Prior to his time with Mandarin Oriental, Jackson held a variety of roles with The Savoy Hotel Group, The Royal Household and The Ritz, London.

Mandarin Oriental now operates, or has under development, 41 hotels representing more than 10,000 rooms in 27 countries, with 17 hotels in Asia, 12 in The Americas and 12 in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

In addition, the group operates, or has under development, 13 Residences at Mandarin Oriental, connected to the Group’s properties.
