Bogota to Get Two Four Seasons Hotels

The Gilinski Group, a banking, real estate and industrial conglomerate in the region, and Four Seasons Hotels and Resortshave announced plans for the management of two hotels in Bogota

Following renovations, the historic Hotel Casa Medina Bogota will re-open as Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina Bogota, and the contemporary Hotel Charleston Bogota will become the Four Seasons Hotel Bogota. Closed as of December 15, 2014, for renovations, both properties will be ready to welcome guests later this year.

The new luxury hotels are a sign of Colombia's tourism progress, said Gabriel Gilinski, principal at The Gilinski Group, in a written release.

Building on Bogota's reputation as a culinary destination, the Four Seasons properties will offer dining experiences with a global theme, ranging from Spanish tapas to Janaese robata.

Located in the financial and commercial centre of Bogota, the Hotel Casa Medina has historic French and Spanish architectural elements. Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina Bogota will maintain these elements during its renovations, while adding modern amenities from the Four Seasons brand.

Renovations at the contemporary Four Seasons Hotel Bogota will include redesigned rooms and suites, as well as a new dining experience. A Japanese robata concept will offer a menu of traditional grilled delicacies, sushi and a large bar stocked with sakes, Japanese beers and cocktails.
