New Menu Afloat at Wind Surf's Degrees Restaurant

February 4, 2010 By: Meagan Drillinger

Wind Surf, of Windstar Cruises' fame, has recently unveiled a new dining experience at its Degrees restaurant.

The new Mediterranean-style menu, created by David Shalleck, spotlights local ingredients from each port.

The culinary experience begins with an amuse bouche, followed by a selection of first courses, then on to pastas and soups and a variety of entrees. The whole meal is capped off with a selection of desserts.

Menu highlights: We hear some must-try dishes are the Baccala Mantecato, a blend of salt cod and potatoes; Canape Pissaladierre, carmelized onion tartlet with black olives; Assiette Charcuterie, Spanish pork loin lomo, French saucisson, Italian speck and celery root remoulade; and Pulpo "a la Plancha," braised and griddled octopus with potatoes and spicy chorizo sausage.

Tip: Degrees accommodates 90 guests and reservations are recommended.
