Orient-Express Preps to Open the Palacio Nazarenas in Peru

Palacio Nazarenas by Orient ExpressGet ready, hotel fans. Orient-Express is heating things up this summer in South America with the June 15 opening of the Palacio Nazarenas-- the brand’s most ambitious project to date. As we reported last year, “The inauguration of Orient-Express’ sixth property in Peru will be the culmination of a three-year restoration project carried out under the guidance of eight full-time archaeologists and the supervision of Peru’s National Institute of Culture (INC).”

A former convent has been converted into a chic, contemporary hideaway with just 55 suites, each equipped with oxygen and its own private bar for mixing drinks made with ingredients grown on the property. (A personal butler is on call to assist at any time.) The sister property to the Hotel Monasterio in Cusco, the Palacio Nazarenas will be part of the brand’s multi-experience journey across Peru-- from Cusco and Lima to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Machu Picchu. The Palacio will also have a spa, Cusco’s first outdoor pool, and gourmet restaurants serving locally-sourced, Peruvian cuisine.

The hotel is now taking bookings for arrivals from June 15, 2012. Your clients will get a free upgrade when you book a Suite, Grande Suite, or Chica Junior Suite from now until June 14, valid for stays until September 15, 2012. (Quote the code OENAZPROM when contacting the reservations office at [email protected].)
