The Augustine in Prague to Be Rebranded

The Augustine, Prague

News from Prague: The luxurious Augustine hotel, which is housed in a former 13th century monastery (and brewery), has been sold to Russian private investment firm GledenInvest. One of the finest hotels in the Czech capital, The Augustine has been operating independently since its management contract with Rocco Forte Hotels expired last year.

On a bit of a buying spree across Asia, Africa and Europe, GledenInvest plans to rebrand The Augustine with a well-known international hotel operator. The goal? “To reposition it as one of the top luxury properties in Central and Eastern Europe.”

The Augustine has some lavish facilities—from the restaurant and bar to the spa specializing in signature treatments like the St. Thomas Beer Body Ritual, which was created using a secret monk's recipe. The guest rooms are a mélange of contemporary décor and historic monastic touches, like ancient wood beams.

Located in the Malá Strana district, The Augustine is within walking distance to Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge. For more information, visit www.augustinehotel.com
