Anndra Neen Wins 2011 Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize

The Dorchester Collection made hotel history when they launched their annual Fashion Prize, a prestigious award honoring the work of young designers, helping to catapult their careers. Not only does the winner get some serious exposure (The Grand Final runway presentation was filmed for America’s Next Top Model in the ballroom of The Beverly Hills Hotel this past weekend), but they also get $40,000 as well as the opportunity to display their work at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée during Paris Fashion Week in 2012.

This year saw five talented designers shortlisted for the prize, and The Dorchester Collection even launched a cocktail menu of drinks named for each of them, served at The Collections' hotel bars in the world’s fashion capitals (London, Milan, and Paris).

The panel of high-profile judges (including W's contributing fashion editor Giovanna Battaglia and the women's creative director of Calvin Klein Collection, Francisco Costa) chose the collection by Anndra Neen as best evoking “the spirit of individuality, luxury, style and craftsmanship, which characterizes Dorchester Collection's iconic hotels.
