Arriving in Spain: Waldorf Astoria Sevilla at La Boticaria

The Waldorf Astoria brand keeps on growing. Hilton Worldwide has announced the signing of a management agreement to convert Hacienda La Boticaria, an Andalucian style retreat close to Sevilla, into a Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts property—Waldorf Astoria Sevilla at La Boticaria. The hotel is set to open this summer and wil be the brand's fifth propery in Europe.

Waldorf Astoria Sevilla at La Boticaria is 20 minutes from both Sevilla city center and San Pablo airport. Originally opened in 2004, the 133-room hotel sits on 40 acres of private land. Note: VIPs can land right on the grounds as the hotel has its own helipad.

The hacienda contains six different private courtyard gardens of Andalucian, Egyptian and Arabian style. As a spa resort, it has one of Europe’s largest hotel spa facilities with a variety of treatment and relaxation rooms, plus several indoor and outdoor pools offering secluded comfort.

An on-site equestrian centre is home to 16 thoroughbred Spanish horses and an antique carriage museum. The full culinary experiences have yet to be revealed, but we hear will utilize the hacienda setting.

Waldorf Astoria Sevilla at La Boticaria joins Rome Cavalieri, Trianon Palace Versailles and London Syon Park, which opens this month., as other Waldorf Astoria hortels in Europe. Further European additions will appear in Berlin later this year and Jerusalem in 2012.
