Boutique Bliss: Brazilian Hotel Unveils Luxe Updates

Here's the dish for your Brazil-bound VIPs: Insolito Boutique Hotel, a coastal resort in sexy Buzios, Brazil, has unveiled a new restaurant, nine new rooms and a Parilla, a barbecue from Rio Plata.

We hear that the new Parilla is fueled with a mixture of firewood and coal. The theme is open barbecue and allows guests to get close to the action and learn tips from the cook. We love that diners can choose from Argentinean, Uruguayan and Brazilian meats, as well as seafood and vegetables. There is also a range of tapas and finger foods. Tasty touch: Dishes include pork sausage with dried tomato and mint, roasted potatoes with roquefort cheese and baby beef medallions.

The new restaurant area oozes sophistication, serving up Franco-Brazilian cuisine (think beef filet in a jabuticaba sauce with a mandioquinha gratin). We love that guests can dine in a lounge area on the pool deck while taking in sea views, or inside next to a wall of hand-painted blue tiles.

The nine new rooms include two superior rooms, four luxury rooms and three master suites, all of which sit in a new house connected to the main building.
