Buzz: Giorgio Armani Looking at Real Estate for a New Hotel in London

Armani’s already made his mark on the hotel scene in Dubai-- the fashion designer’s hotel opened last year in the soaring Burj Khalifa-- and now he’s set to enter the fray in London. Hotels are opening left and right in London; The St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel and Corinthia Hotel have followed the dramatic reopening of the Four Seasons London on Park Lane. (Read our review of the dazzling new Four Seasons here.) And now Giorgio Armani is rumored to be considering opening a property in Knightsbridge. Vogue UK reports that he’s looking at an “existing hotel in the area, as well as an office space, to host the 200-room hotel.” The magazine conjectures that the “new hotel would likely be in association with Emaar Properties, the company the designer collaborated with on his Dubai site. Paris, New York, Tokyo and Shanghai are also thought to be on the list for possible Armani Hotel openings.”
