Opening Soon: Capella Marigot Bay on St. Lucia

Capella Marigot Bay

Come September 1, one of the Caribbean’s most anticipated hotels will make its debut. Back in February, we published a photo preview of the Capella Marigot Bay, which was formerly the GLA-managed Discovery hotel. Capella Hotels and Resorts—which was founded by hotel legend and former Ritz-Carlton President Horst Schulze—has completely transformed the property.

“Its 127 rooms have shed their location-inappropriate Asian accents and now look as though they belong in the Caribbean,” says The Telegraph about the makeover, which showcases teak and vibrantly colored prints. Beyond the aesthetics, Capella has added new restaurant and bar concepts, spacious suites, the Auriga spa, a top-notch fitness center, and the Capella Marina (complete with a retail village).

To celebrate the debut, the hotel is offering the “Grand Opening Getaway Package” which includes a third free night on a two-night stay, along with a $50 resort credit and a complimentary rum tasting with a “Rum Maestro” in the Rum Cave. For more information, visit www.capellahotels.com/saintlucia
