From its origins in London, the Soho House members club has now branched out to multiple locations across the globe (New York, Chicago, LA, Toronto, Istanbul, Berlin). The latest offshoot will be in Barcelona, when the Soho House Barcelona opens in October in the Gothic Quarter.
Facing the Port Vell Marina, The House is billed as “a space for eating, drinking, and meeting.” Hence there’s a 36-seat screening room, “The Meeting Room” bar-lounge, and a rooftop pool with sweeping views over the city and the Mediterranean. Entertainment is always a strong point at Soho House and the Barcelona outpost will be no exception.
There are 57 guest rooms, and hotel clients get access to all the facilities, including the eateries, the gym, the Cowshed Spa, and the indoor pool. The House Kitchen will serve Spanish fare, while Cecconi’s will bring its signature northern Italian specialties to Barcelona.
Next up for the London-based brand? A hotel/members club for Amsterdam in early 2017.
