Top Shelf: New York’s Flûte

Flûte Midtown

Where do New York’s elite go to unwind? Scores of places, but we hear that Flûte Midtown is a wine bar not to be missed, especially since it was awarded Wine Bar of the Year at the 2010 Nightclub and Bar Awards. Historical Note: We hear that Flûte Midtown operates out of a once-speakeasy run by Texas Guinan, who was known for openly snubbing Prohibition. Flûte has two other addresses, New York’s Gramercy and Paris. Contact owner Hervé Rousseau ([email protected]; 917-653-5145) with queries.
