Sneak Peek: New Langham Resort Set to Open in Dubai

More exciting news from Dubai's luxury hotel scene: Langham Hospitality Group has partnered with DAS Real Estate to manage an upcoming Langham resort in the emirate.

Located on the crescent of Palm Jumeirah and scheduled to open in 2015, this 323-room resort marks double landmark "firsts" for the Hong Kong-based hotel company: It is the group's first foray into the Middle East and the first resort in its global collection.

What we're eager to see: All of the hotel's rooms and suites will have outdoor terraces and sea-front views of the Gulf and the Marina. The resort will have 53 one- and two-bedroom suites that range from 678 to 2,500 square feet; 22 of these will have individual plunge pools.

Headlining the hotel's culinary options will be Palm Court, a lounge modeled after its namesake at The Langham, London (the first grand hotel to serve the traditional afternoon tea in 1865).
There will also be a Japanese restaurant, a waterfront seafood outlet, a niche breakfast room, an Arabic and Italian fusion café, an all-day restaurant (with an international buffet and a la carte selections), a beach restaurant and a juice bar that offers light snacks and refreshments.

The Club Lounge will have complimentary food and beverage presentations throughout the day and dedicated concierge service.

The Langham will also have one of the region's largest hotel recreation facilities, covering more than 43,000 square feet over two floors. The signature Chuan Spa will have 26 treatment rooms as well as therapies based on the sound principles of traditional Chinese medicine. Families will want to check out the Kids Club with a fun slide, play zone and themed party area.

VIPs will want to swing by the dedicated Travellers Lounge, especially when arriving early or departing late. Guests can unwind with a book from the library, have a light meal or snack, shower and change clothes or use the business facilities.
