Marriott Hotels Reopens County Hall in London

Marriott Hotels re-opened the London Marriott Hotel County Hall in London, England, following the completion of a multi-million dollar renovation.

The redesigned hotel signals the momentum and evolution of Marriott Hotels’ bold transformation as it continues to elevate experiences all around the world, enhancing every aspect of the guest’s stay. New openings and reinvented hotels showcase attributes of the future of the brand, including contemporary guestroom design, local influences, stylish public areas and intuitive technology.

Set at the foot of Westminster Bridge, the London Marriott County Hall uses the history of the hotel and its location as inspiration for its updated design. The vaulted ceilings and wood-paneled chambers remain, while smart technology updates allows guests to use the room flexibly.

Led by RPW Design, the hotel’s reimagined suites received upgraded bathroom facilities, entrances with tiled mosaic flooring, and bespoke wallpaper with a historic map of London. Subtle plays on London landmarks are on display throughout, including orange chairs that are intended to pay homage to the seating in the chamber of the former London County Council.

Within the hotel, guests can enjoy the largest hotel pool in London (more than 75 feet long), dining options that include Gillray’s Steakhouse & Bar, the Noes Lobby Champagne Bar, the Leaders Bar and outside terrace, and the Library Lounge (for afternoon tea), as well as a new riverside Executive Lounge for Marriott Rewards members, and 10 event and meeting rooms.

Set on London’s South Bank, London Marriott Hotel County Hall has views of many of London’s landmarks, including the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, the River Thames, and the London Eye.
