New York's Roosevelt Hotel To Reopen Rooftop Bar for Spring
February 24, 2010 By: Jena Tesse FoxSpring is in the air, which, in New York City, means two things: The trees (such as we have them) will start to bloom, and rooftop bars will start to boom.
On April 1, midtown's The Roosevelt Hotel's mad46 rooftop lounge will reopen after a winter hiatus. Since spring temps can be unpredictable (and very few people like sitting out in the rain), the hotel has expanded the bar's indoor space for this year, adding retractable glass windows and an interior bar. (And the air conditioning will be appreciated when the mercury hits 90. Not many people like spending hours in a sauna, either!) We hear that the indoor spaces will be be bookable for private parties.
Convenient touch: Those wishing to bypass the hotel's lobby can use the exclusive elevator on 46th Street that will take them directly to the lounge and enjoy the fresh air...such as we have it!
