Fashion on Sale: Les Soldes d'Hiver Hit Paris

Though the weather outside may be frightful, the boutiques and grands magasins in Paris are heating up with the annual winter sales. Running through February 9, the Soldes d'Hiver create a veritable frenzy in the world's fashion mecca, as Parisians and visitors alike swoop in to take advantage of these fashion bargains. (Traditionally, sales events have been allowed by law only twice a year, also in July.) Experience Paris à la folie! After you've scooped up some pieces at Galeries Lafayette (pictured at right) or Le Bon Marché, warm up with a divine hot chocolate at Angelina. Hitting up the boutiques in the chic Marais district? Don't miss the chocolat chaud at Cacao et Chocolat.
