Summer in Paris- Grand Palais Transforms Into Drive-in Cinema

Grand PalaisSpring has finally sprung in Paris- and the promise of balmy summer nights (and sunsets past 10 pm) brings with it a positively festive mood. Fun events abound in the French capital, but a brand new one—which just crossed our radar—is definitely worth noting.

From June 10-21, the Grand Palais will morph into a drive-in movie theatre called “Cinema Paradiso”, so giddy guests (up to 1000 spectators) can watch classic flicks like Grease, Pulp Fiction, Taxi Driver, Annie Hall or The Big Lebowski while seated in Fiat 500 convertibles. The glass-roofed grand nave will also house a restaurant and trendy nightclub. For more information, visit www.grandpalais.fr/visite/en.

Pssst. After your film, why not dine at the Mini Palais, chef Eric Frechon’s fab restaurant that’s located inside the Palais itself?
