Trianon Palace

The Trianon Palace is going all out for the yuletide season. Bordering Louis XIV’s Royal Domain at Versailles, this opulent hotel—a member of the Waldorf Astoria collection—is opening an ice skating rink along with a Christmas market for Noel. From Strasbourg to the Champs-Élysées, traditional Christmas markets are wildly popular across France. Though you’ll find your share of kitsch at the markets, you’ll also find gourmet specialty foods and unique artisanal crafts, along with plenty of hot mulled wine, gingerbread, and chocolat chaud.

Open from December 4- December 26, the Christmas Market at Trianon Palace will offer hot chocolate, mulled wined, Christmas gifts and gourmet delights including gingerbread, Trianon Palace Versailles branded Champagne, oysters and foie gras. Next to the market is the ice skating rink which will stay open until January 2. (The cost for the rink is 10 euros/person/per day.)

To celebrate, the hotel is offering an exclusive Festive Period Package from €269 that includes accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis, two glasses of champagne, a VIP gift in the room, free access to the ice skating rink and the Guerlain spa as well as free upgrade upon availability. The price is per room per night and valid from December 4, 2010 until January 2, 2011.
