Design Hotels is welcoming its newest member: The Flushing Meadows Hotel & Bar. The intimate hotel has just 16 rooms with 11 loft studios.
The hotel has 11 Loft Studios on the third floor and an additional five Penthouse Studios on the upper level. The Loft Studios create an airy, modern space with high ceilings, and each has been handed over for interior design to selected personalities including Austrian actress and singer Birgit Minichmayr, musician Michi Beck, pro-surfer Quirin Rohleder, DJ Hell and industrial furniture designer Norbert Wangen. The five Penthouse Studios were designed by the architecture firm of Arnold and Werner. Three of them feature private terrace access, and all offer city or Alpine views.
Cool touch: Munich mornings begin with breakfast on the top floor while afternoons bar chef Manu Pinciroli serves up classic cocktails. Check out the organic liquid store Superdanke!, which is juicing up fresh fruit and veggies.
The neighborhood, the Glockenbachviertel district, is brimming with bars, restaurants, boutiques and galleries.
