Oktoberfest in Munich at Rocco Forte’s Charles Hotel

The Charles Hotel

On Saturday, September 20, the Munich mayor will tap the first keg of Oktoberfest beer, officially kicking off the two week-long party. The 181st annual Oktoberfest promises to be especially merry after Germany’s triumphant World Cup performance this year. The Charles Hotel—the closest luxury hotel to the festivities, just a 15-minute walk away—is celebrating the occasion with designer Dirndls for guests.

If you book the Oktoberfest package, you’ll be suited up with a made-to-measure Dirndl by Muich designer Sarah Tack. (Retail value? €1000.) The package also includes overnight accommodation in a Classic Room and the breakfast buffet in the Davvero restaurant, where they’ll be hosting Bavarian folk dances and serving up local specialties during the event. The price is from €1,600 per night.
