On the Green: South Africa's 29th Nedbank Golf Challenge

Up for a round of golf? The 29th Nedbank Golf Challenge, South Africa's biggest golf event, will be held from December 3-6 at Sun International's Sun City resort.

The top prize is a whopping $1.2 million and a total award payout of over $4 million. It is held at the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City. It is directed by former hotel owner and general manager Alaistair Roper.

Nice green touch: This year the challenge is striving to be eco-friendly. This involves waste separation facilities, reductions in the use of non-biodegradable packaging and the use of signs and awareness material.
