45 Park Lane Puts American Spin on Afternoon Tea

In an effort to attract visitors and locals alike, Dorchester Collection’s 45 Park Lane has put a spin on London’s quintessential afternoon tea with their new midday offering, CUTcakes & Tea.

CUTcakes & Tea, offered daily from 2:30-3:30 p.m., aims to put an American spin on London’s traditional tea offering. 45 Park Lane is home to Wolfgang Pucks’ first restaurant in Europe, CUT, which is where this creative afternoon tea takes place.

Just in time for the holidays, California-born executive chef David McIntyre has used classic Thanksgiving favorites to adapt the American afternoon tea menu for Thanksgiving. A selection of dishes will include fried turkey & buttermilk biscuits with cranberry chutney, wild mushroom tart with black truffle and Maple & bacon macarons, accompanied by a clementine & Tahitian vanilla milkshake.

Guests will end tea with cola cake & caramel corn and graham cracker s ’mores, along with special cake pops; candied pecan & maple syrup and spiced pumpkin. This offering is available starting November 12th through the holiday and is priced at £55 (approximately $70) per person.

Dorchester Collection’s 45 Park Lane opened opposite The Dorchester on September 1, 2011. It offers luxurious interiors by New York based designer, Thierry Despont as well as 45 guest bedrooms, of which 28 are suites, plus the Penthouse Suite – all with a view of Hyde Park, bathroom mirrors with integrated televisions, Blue Ray players and safes with internal power points.
