Windsor Court Hotel Celebrates New Orleans' Tricentennial

It’s a big year for the Big Easy. New Orleans is celebrating its 300th anniversary in 2018, and the city is pulling out all the stops to fete the occasion. The Tricentennial will feature concerts, exhibits, film festivals, and much more; it’s a full year of celebratory events, so no matter when you go, you’re guaranteed a good time.

Hotels are also getting in on the action with the anticipated influx of visitors. For example, the Windsor Court Hotel—within walking distance of both the French Quarter and the Central Business District—has launched a special Tricentennial Package that includes two tickets to Historic New Orleans Collection museum, two Tricentennial-themed cocktails in Polo Club Lounge, and a commemorative New Orleans Tricentennial gift along with your accommodations. (Use promo code NOLA300; rates start at $260; available throughout the year.)

Originally built in 1984, the Windsor Court Hotel is home to a spa, rooftop pool, The Grill Room restaurant and the Polo Club Lounge (for drinks and live music). The French-inspired guestrooms are equipped with free Wi-Fi and balconies or bay windows overlooking the Mississippi River or the New Orleans skyline. High rollers can splash out on the hotel’s top digs: The James J. Coleman Presidential Suite. Situated on the 22nd floor, this 2,780-square-foot pad comes with two bedrooms, a library, full entertainment center, terraces and a baby grand piano.
