Grand Luxxe Riviera Maya Hotel Earns AAA Five Diamond Rating

The Grand Luxxe at Vidanta Riviera Maya has just earned the AAA Five Diamond designation for 2018, a first for Vidanta’s premier brand on the east coast.

With this designation, the hotel joins its sister property, the Grand Luxxe at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta, which has earned this prestigious rating each year since 2014.

In a press release, AAA said that hotels that receive this designation “employ experienced, highly qualified staff to provide the custom service luxury hotel guests expect.”

Michael Petrone, director of AAA Inspections and Diamond Ratings, said in the release that becoming a Five Diamond establishment means consistently exceeding expectations of the most “discriminating” traveler. He added that Five Diamond hotels and restaurants “deliver a highly personalized, memorable experience."

Situated on the eastern Yucatan Peninsula, the hotel sits on a private beach front, offering a resort filled with amenities that accommodate the whole family. The resort also has a resident Cirque du Soleil show, a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, and numerous restaurants, spas, pools and high-end shopping boutiques. Working in a partnership with Cirque du Soleil, the resort has created JOYÀ, a permanent theatrical and culinary experience at the Riviera Maya location, along with a first-of-its-kind theme park experience currently under development at its sister location in Nuevo Vallarta.

The Vidanta brand owns a portfolio of membership-based vacation destinations and mega-resort hotels along several beaches in Mexico, including Nuevo Vallarta, Riviera Maya, Los Cabos, Acapulco, Puerto Peñasco, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlán.
