John Vanderslice Replaces Ross Klein at Hilton

Hilton Hotels replaced Ross Klein as global head of luxury and lifestyle brands after Starwood Hotels, his former employer, charged him, and Hilton as a result, with stealing proprietary information to be used to launch a Hilton lifestyle brand called Denizen. The lawsuit alleges that Klein and Amar Lalvani, a former Starwood colleague who defected with Klein to Hilton, “stole massive amounts of proprietary and highly confidential Starwood information.” Subsequently, Hilton announced that it had filled Klein’s vacancy with John Vanderslice, former CEO of Club Med’s Americas division.
