File this in your rolodex of cool hotel openings in 2017. Legian Hotel Management, Ltd. (LHM)—the group behind The Legian Bali and The Club at The Legian Bali in Seminyak—will be expanding with a new ultra-luxury resort in 2017. The Legian Lombok is located on the Indonesian island of Lombok, described as “still undiscovered” on the hotel’s official website. Access is via a 25-minute flight from Bali, and a 90-minute drive from the Lombok International airport.

Situated on a 2.4 mile stretch of Sire Beach on the island’s northwest coast, the resort is next to the Lombok Golf Kosaido Country Club. There will be 39 guest rooms, eight villas, and five private Joglo houses, each equipped with an infinity pool and wellness facilities. Recreational activities will include snorkeling/diving the Gili Islands and authentic cultural excursions to the Sasak market village.

LHM was founded by Robby Djohan, Ralf Ohletz (co-founder of General Hotel Management Ltd) and financier Irma Djohan. The Legian Bali was managed by GHM from 1996 – 2016, until LHM took over ownership.
