New in Napa: Archer Hotel to Open in November

“Wine country with urban undertones.” That’s what’s promised at the brand new Archer Napa Hotel, opening in November.

Archer is a new collection of boutique hotels, with existing properties in Midtown Manhattan and Austin’s Domain Northside neighborhood. The idea behind the brand? To quote the official website, “A hotel should be more than just a place to stay. Your comfort, your curiosity, and your love of the details large and small make the experience.” A big focus is “sincere service.”

Housed in a five-story building, Archer Napa will be part of the First Street Napa project, a 325,000-square-foot mixed-use development in Downtown Napa that will offer shops, restaurants, and entertainment. The tallest building in Napa Valley, Archer’s will be the anchor of this talked-about project.

Hotel highlights will include a rooftop bar with panoramic Napa Valley views and a Charlie Palmer steakhouse, complete with a show kitchen on the rooftop for private events. The highly anticipated restaurant will be overseen by Executive Chef Jeffery Russell, who honed his skills at New York’s Michelin-starred Aureole before being tapped by Charlie Palmer to work at his D.C. and Denver restaurants.

Expect an array of treats in the 183 guestrooms, including 39 suites with balconies: complimentary Wi-Fi, an arrival gift of bottled water and handmade salted caramels, plush Eurotop mattresses, Nespresso machines, wine refrigerators, Malin+Goetz bath amenities, and Frette robes…

Note: Archer Napa aims to become a destination for events (and weddings!), with both indoor and outdoor banquet space—not to mention the rooftop venue.
