Our Recent Successes

For those of you that play golf, or any other sport for that matter, you know that it is impossible to win all the time (or maybe you just don’t want to admit it!). No matter how bad the outcome, we always come back. Why? It’s the great feats we remember: sinking a 30-foot birdie putt, smacking a home run, serving up an ace or rolling a strike—these are the things that bring us back to play another day.

In business, the same holds true. It’s the feeling you get when a client returns from the vacation of a lifetime and lets you know how great a job you did. In today’s market, these feelings might be harder to come by, but they still exist.

We recently held several events that were wins. The first was our Incentive Travel Exchange. Surprisingly, in a very unfriendly incentive environment, this event flourished, exceeding expectations. You are probably wondering, how? The answer is simple: we hosted incentive buyers that had business to fulfill. If they didn’t, we didn’t host them. So, for three days, luxury suppliers were swinging the bat and hitting home runs.

The next great success was a webinar on how to profit from social networking. Hosted by our own Ruthanne Terrero, the event attracted over 2,500 registered attendees, making it one of the most highly attended online events in our industry. If you missed it, catch it online right here, right now.

Lastly, I hosted the Wall Street Charity Golf Classic at Winged Foot Country Club to benefit cystic fibrosis. I would like to thank Valerie Wilson Travel, Cunard, The Leading Hotels of the World and all the suppliers that donated auction items. The event raised close to a million dollars to find a cure for CF. It was a big win!

Hopefully, you are winning as well!
