San Ysidro Ranch, which has been closed since January, is set to partially reopen May 23, when three new cottages and half its inventory of unrestored Ranch Rooms begin once again housing guests. The Santa Barbara, CA-based resort, which is owned by Ty Warner, has undergone extensive infrastructural upgrades. The resort’s kitchen is back in business July 1, along with 14 restored cottages; and on September 1 the restaurant reopens, bringing renovations to a full close. Culinary Director George Mahaffey (formerly of Little Nell and Hotel Bel-Air) has joined the resort, which also has a new 8,000-bottle wine cellar and a cheese cave. Duncan Graham ([email protected]) is managing director.
