Rosewood to Open in Hong Kong in 2018

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts continues its healthy expansion with the announcement of a new Hong Kong hotel. Scheduled to open in 2018, the hotel will occupy 27 floors of a multi-use skyscraper on the Victoria Harbour Waterfront (the former New World Centre on Salisbury Road in Tsim Sha Tsui). The official press release notes that the tower, owned by New World Development Company Limited, will become “an instantly recognizable landmark” on the skyline.

Designer Tony Chi is responsible for the interior decoration of Rosewood Hong Kong and its 398 guest rooms. Facilities will include eight F&B concepts, a fitness center, a swimming pool, Rosewood’s signature wellness concept, and The Pavilion event spaces. There will also be residences for longer stays.

Rosewood currently operates 18 ultra-luxury hotels in 11 countries, with 17 new properties under development including Paris, Edinburgh, Costa Rica, Puebla, Siem Reap, Luang Prubang, and Bangkok. The goal is to double the portfolio by 2020.
