Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide continues is aggressive global expansion. Through 2012, Starwood plans to debut 10 new luxury St. Regis hotels and resorts in such destinations as Bangkok, Florence, Tianjin, Doha and Abu Dhabi.
The following is a list of the 10 St. Regis properties slated for debut through 2012.
The St. Regis Bangkok and The Residences at The St. Regis Bangkok (Opened in April 2011)
Located in the heart of Bangkok's commercial corridor, 176-room The St. Regis Bangkok recently opened with 51 suites and 53 private residences. It houses an Elemis spa and is home to Social, a fine dining restaurant, as well as Decanter, an extensive wine cellar filled with exclusive vintages.
The St. Regis Florence (Opening in September 2011)
Formerly the Grand Hotel, Florence, The St. Regis Florence will officially open in September following a meticulous restoration process. Designed in 1432 by Filippo Brunelleschi, the architect of the Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence, The St. Regis Florence is considred to be on the city's most historic buildings. Located in the center of Florence, just off the Arno River, it will feature 81 guest rooms, in addition to 19 suites, in an antique deccor reflective of Florence's famous artistic culture. The St. Regis Florence will also have an Iridium spa, dining venues and a fully restored ballroom.
The St. Regis Tianjin (Opening in Fall 2011)
Situated along the Hai River in one of China's fastest growing areas, The St. Regis Tianjin features 284 guest rooms, fine dining restaurants and a Remede Spa fully equipped with a health club and an indoor heated swimming pool. The ancient city of Tianjin is renowned for its historical sites, museums, and famous antique market.
The St. Regis Sanya Yalong Bay Resort (Opening in Fall 2011)
The St. Regis Sanya Yalong Bay Resort is situated on an exclusive beachside location on China's premier resort destination, Hainan Island, which is located in the southern-most point of China and is often referred to as the "Hawaii of the East" Resort amenities will include a spa, five unique epicurean experiences, extensive boutique shopping, a business center, a health club and St. Regis Butler. The St. Regis Sanya Yalong Bay Resort offers 33 guest rooms in addition to 40 suites and 28 beachside villas.
The St. Regis Shenzhen (Opening in Fall 2011)
The St. Regis Shenzhen features 289 guest rooms and suites along with St. Regis Butler Service. Additional amenities will include five restaurants and lounges, a spa and a health club.
The St. Regis Doha (Opening in Fall/Winter 2011)
Marking the brand's Middle Eastern debut, The St. Regis Doha will feature signature St. Regis Butler Service, a world-class spa, exclusive water sports, three fine dining restaurants, including a signature restaurant by renowned chef Gordon Ramsay, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. The St. Regis Doha is comprised of two 14-story beachfront reflecting towers containing 336 rooms.
The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort and The Residences at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi (Opening in Fall/Winter 2011)
The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort and The Residences at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi will feature 380 guest rooms and suites and 292 private residences. The resorts will have six themed restaurants and lounges featuring various international cuisines and more than 32,000 square feet of dedicated banquet and meeting facilities, along with the St. Regis Athletic Club and signature St. Regis Butler Service.
The St. Regis Abu Dhabi (Opening in Spring 2012)
The St. Regis Abu Dhabi marks the second St. Regis development in the capital of the United Arab Emirates and is located on the Corniche in downtown Abu Dhabi as part of Nation Towers, an iconic two-tower mixed-use development. Located at the top of one tower beginning at the 33rd floor, the hotel will feature 281 guest rooms, including 56 suites, signature restaurants, a destination bar, a sky bridge suite, more than 50,000 square feet of modern meeting and event space and a 32,000-square-foot health club facility including an outdoor swimming pool.
The St. Regis Mauritius (Opening in Spring 2012)
The St. Regis Mauritius, located on a remote island off the coast of Madagascar, will feature signature St. Regis' Butler service, a Remede Spa, an extensive variety of leisure activities and five exclusive fine-dining venues. The resort offers 173 guest rooms and is located within easy reach of The Black River Gorge and Chamarel Waterfalls.
The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort and The Residences at The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort (Opening in Spring 2012)
The St. Regis Bal Harbour in Miami will feature 251 rooms and suites, including 37 condominium-hotel suites and 269 private residences in three all-glass towers, which rise 27 stories above an expansive stretch of beach on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Other amenities include a 12,000 square-foot Remede Spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center, fine-dining restaurants, childcare and poolside cabana and beach services.
