Hot Caribbean All-Inclusives for Millennials

Millennials don’t take too kindly to cookie-cutter all-inclusives, as this market is constantly on the prowl in the Caribbean for the freshest, hottest resorts to Instagram about while sipping an exotic beverage on a pristine beach.

And so Luxury Travel Advisor has a trio of resorts for you that fit the bill.

From two stylish resorts in the always-popular Dominican beach destination of Punta Cana to a revamped Sandals resort on Montego Bay, we break down all the selling points you need to entice affluent Millennials bound for the Caribbean.

One of Blue Diamond Resorts’ best family resorts in the Caribbean, Royalton Punta Cana Resort & Casino is great for both Millennial couples and parents traveling with children.

The most requested rooms here are the Diamond Club Adults-Only Swim Out rooms. These come with a king bed, an integrated area with either a sofa bed or two queen beds, a private pool and bar. Hint: We think this is a great option for either girls’ or guys’ getaways or Millennial couples traveling with other couples.

Tip: A great room option for families is the Diamond Club Family Swim Out room. These rooms come with one king bed and a similar living area as the Diamond Club Adults-Only Swim Out rooms.

Overall, the best room at this resort is the Diamond Club Chairman’s Two Bedroom Ocean Front Suite, which includes such in-room amenities as a billiard table, a bar, a banquet-style dinner table and a full seating area with a pull-out sofa bed.

The Diamond Club Chairman’s Suite has top shelf in-room liquor and provides the best views of the resort from each of the two bedrooms, one of which has a king-sized “DreamBed” and the other two queen beds.

Hideaway at Royalton Punta Cana‘s Luxury Suite is designed for couples.

Nice Touch: Each bedroom also has an en suite bathroom with rain shower and Jacuzzi, plus USB charging stations beside the bed. Tip: VIPs can also enjoy a gourmet dinner or an impressive sunset from their private balcony with unobstructed views of the ocean and the beach below.

All Diamond Club rooms come with private butler service. We were told to book these at least 90–120 days out.

Nice Touch: VIPs can arrange for Nexus Tours to pick them up from the airport, which is roughly 30 minutes away, and take them to the Royalton Punta Cana. Private helicopters can land at Memories Splash Punta Cana, which is right next to the resort.

The Royal Spa at the hotel includes 18 treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy room, an outdoor pool, a bridal suite, and a hair and nail salon. The signature treatment here is the Royal Massage. Performed by two therapists, this four-handed massage uses aromatherapy, Hawaiian LomiLomi, Shiatsu and reflexology techniques with hot compresses to target pressure points. Hint: Parents looking to pamper their kids can book manicures and pedicures for children / young adults.

To further customize guests’ spa experience, connect with Nick Pena ([email protected]), spa manager.

The best spot to dine here is in the private dining room of the Hunter Steak House. Guests must purchase a bottle of wine from the wine list. Nice Touch: Those dining here can watch chefs prepare their steak in the open kitchen.

Guests planning to get married here may be interested in the resort’s Bridal Party Spa Experience. A Royal Spa Bridal Suite is reserved for the bridal party during spa appointments. It also includes the bride’s hair and makeup services, a toast to the bride with one bottle of sparkling wine and an assortment of bite-sized appetizers provided in-suite.

Hideaway at Royalton Punta Cana‘s Luxury Suite has a swim-out pool just beyond the patio door.

The Groom Experience includes a “Groom’s Room” reserved for the party either on wedding day or the previous day; cold beer and one bottle of scotch, 10 cigars and an assortment of light bite-sized appetizers provided in-suite.

Sneak Peek: Blue Diamond Resorts recently announced the development of a 168-suite Hideaway at Royalton Punta Cana Resort, a modern and luxurious adults-only oasis adjacent to the Royalton Punta Cana. Hideaway at Royalton Luxury Resorts is currently located in such beachfront destinations as Cancun, Jamaica and St. Lucia.

The Hideaway at Royalton Punta Cana will be a redesigned resort that will provide guests over the age of 18 elegant accommodations, complimentary extras such as afternoon hors d’oeuvres in exclusive pool and beach areas, waiter service, cold towels poolside, lens cleaning and in-room amenities like aromatherapy, a custom beach bag and upgraded room service.

Advisors with additional enquiries should reach out to Loraine Antonio ([email protected]), sales executive for the U.S and Canada.

AlSol Tiara Cap Cana, the newest property from AlSol Hotels & Resorts in the enclave of Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic, caters to Millennials through its design and amenities.

Situated on Marina Cap Cana, AlSol Tiara Cap Cana projects an urban feel in a tropical setting, with 115 design-centric rooms that come with modern details such as geometric patterns on the furniture, a bright color palette and contemporary lighting fixtures, which 20- and 30-somethings will appreciate.

The most requested rooms here are the Marina Suite, Marina Swim Out and Ocean Swim Out, all of which provide the best views of the ocean. Located on the higher floors of the resort, the Marina Master Suite has a king bed or two individual beds, a living room and a furnished balcony with a hammock. The Marina Swim Out and Ocean Swim Out suites are located on the ground floor with direct access to a swim-out pool.

AlSol Tiara Cap Cana organizes a variety of activities centered around the main pool.

For further room requests, advisors should reach out to Emmanuel Puello ([email protected]), reception manager.

On the first floor are the all-suite property’s swim-out suites that lead directly into a shared pool — a great match for groups of friends looking to be social on vacation.

The resort also organizes a variety of social activities centered around the main pool, such as foam parties, nightly entertainment and tropical cocktails served at the swim-up bar.

AlSol Tiara Cap Cana’s spa, the first Babor Signature Spa in the Caribbean, is a relaxing respite from the hotel’s social vibe for Millennials. The signature treatment here is the aromatherapy massage.

For additional spa requests, advisors should connect with Ljubica Ivanic ([email protected]), spa manager.

Xoxolati is the property’s Mexican restaurant and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Blue Lotus serves up Asian cuisine and is open for dinner only. Note: There is an extra charge for dining at this restaurant. The Caribya Beach Grill is the hotel’s casual lunch and dinner spot that dishes out Caribbean cuisine during the day and steak at night. Reservations for all the three signature restaurants are recommended at least 24 hours in advance.

Shown above is one of AlSol Tiara Cap Cana's rooms complete with contemporary furniture and lighting fixtures.

AlSol Tiara Cap Cana is next to a golf course and within three miles of Indigenous Eyes Ecological Park, Cap Cana Puerto Marina and Corales Golf Course.

Sandals Resorts International may be busy building over-the-water bungalows in Jamaica and St. Lucia and eyeing expansions in both Tobago and Mexico, but that hasn’t kept the all-inclusive chain from showing some love to a Sandals classic.

Sandals recently gave its long-time hotel, Sandals Montego Bay, a shot in the arm with the introduction of new suite categories aimed at attracting Millennials.

The Beachfront Romeo & Juliet One-Bedroom Butler Villa Suite with Outdoor Tranquility Soaking Tub rooms are newly built and located directly on one of Jamaica’s best private beaches. These four suites include a master bedroom with a king-size bed and HD smart TV.

A separate living room has a fully stocked wet bar and a second smart TV. Nice Touch: The spa-style bathroom features a dual-control, walk-in overhead rain shower, a soaking tub for two, twin vessel sinks and large back-lit mirrors.

Outside, an extra-large balcony or patio houses a tranquility soaking tub for two and a bistro set, which provides a comfortable spot for beachside relaxation or al fresco dining. Guests will also enjoy the service of a personal butler and 24-hour room service.

For dining, we hear the newly renovated Oleander Room has ocean views and serves Jamaican cuisine. Hint: Recommend the Ackee Bacon and Callaloo Quiche with light jerk cream sauce.

Sandals Montego Bay is set along a private white-sand beach.

The signature treatment at the hotel’s 3,000-square-foot spa is the Night Blooming Jasmine. Performed after-hours in a location of the guests’ choosing, this aromatic massage uses the delicate aromas of Chinese Jasmine. A paintbrush and the artistic touch of the therapists’ hands contribute toward creating an authentic spa experience.

Hint: Tell parents about the Ginger Lilly, a new concept exclusive to teens and “tweens” as a part of the Red Lane Spa experience, featuring new customized treatments using products from Pevonia Spa Teen, SpaRituals and FarmHouse Fresh. Additionally, Red Lane Spa carries a complete line of SpaRitual nail lacquers, with 12 new signature colors just for teens.

Advisors should also be sure to tell brides about the hotel’s new Bridal Lounge, which has a salon, lighted make-up mirrors, a changing room and wash station. Tip: It is also a great location for bridal party photography and simply getting ready for the big day.

Sandals Montego Bay has introduced new suites, including the Beachfront Presidential One Bedroom Butler Villa Suite.

For additional wedding requests, connect with Nickalia Kinkead ([email protected]), wedding manager.

The hotel also recently debuted the new Beachfront Millionaire One-Bedroom Butler Villa Suite with Outdoor Tranquility Tub. It comes with a king bed, balcony, an outdoor bistro set, a spa-inspired bathroom and a walk-in rain shower.

Tip: Couples staying at Sandals Montego Bay, as like all Sandals Resorts, tend to book suite categories first. As a result, the resort’s Butler and Concierge suites are most popular and should be booked at least six months out.

For additional room requests and other enquiries, advisors may want to connect with Annastacia McBean ([email protected]), sales manager.
