The 18-story luxury hotel is designed with Baltimore's chic and edgy side in mind (think a strollable waterfront community of shops, cafes and theaters). The hotel will offer 256 rooms and is within walking distance to historic neighborhoods such s Fells Point, Little Italy and Canton.
Maritime munch: Famed restaurateur Michael Mina is itching to unveil is first Baltimore outpost. We hear the theme for Wit & Wisdom by Michael Mina was taken from the dockside joints that once welcomed shipmen and traders to Baltimore's port. The menu will offer an array of grilled entrees served in cast iron skillets and meats and seafood cooked by rotisserie, wood fired grill, slow braised or baked in sea salt.
The hotel will also offer LAMILL COFFEE for casual diner-style fare, and the Pool Bar and Grill, for drinks and light snacks. The Bar and Lobby Lounge will welcome those looking for pre-dinner drinks or light meals. We hear that 2012 will bring Pabu, an izakaya-style Japanese pub.
Unwind at the Spa, a 10,000-square-foot oasis featuring 11 treatment rooms, many with private soaking tubs. Two pools include a year-round heated pool with an infinity edge.
