Redesign at New York’s Carlyle

New York City’s legendary Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel has redesigned its Tower Premier Rooms on floors 20-33. Here’s the lowdown: Standard features include a king-size bed, small seating area, large picture windows that peer out over Manhattan and 450 square feet of space. (Room 230 shown above). During their redesign, which was overseen by interior designer Alexandra Champalimaud, Tower Premier Rooms were fitted with fine antiques (many were updated with bold, black lacquer); updated wool carpets, whose geometric patterns counter the softer, more formal feel of the rooms’ English wallpaper; and new, rich fabrics.
Have clients who are heading to The Carlyle this spring or summer? Suggest they stop by Sense, the hotel’s spa, which has some fun new menu picks. (We hear that Le Soin Supremya Anti-Aging Facial utilizes Sisley’s new Le Soin Supremya Anti-Aging nighttime formula “to leave skin looking and feeling firmer, smoother and more luminous.”)
More indecisive clients might opt for the “tapas” menu, which lets guests sample one treatment from three categories: Body Sense (exfoliation, scrubs and wraps); Massage Therapy (with varieties like Aromatherapy, Swedish, Deep Tissue and the Carlyle Signature Massage); and Essential Skin Care (options include a gentleman’s facial, the Sense Signature Facial and more therapies by Sisley). Note: Spa Tapas is available through September 6, so book well in advance.
