The Guerlain Spa at The Waldorf=Astoria New York

Spa devotees will love the recently unveiled features at The Guerlain Spa at The Waldorf=Astoria New York. The revamped spa reopened in August and Luxury Travel Advisor was on hand to check it out.

New at the spa are a locally sourced Seasonal Spa Food & Beverage Menu; access to one of New York’s top-tier boutique gyms; and—our favorite—the new Abeille Royale Expert Treatment facial. We snuggled down into a cozy spa bed for this 80-minute ritual, which includes a microdermabrasion and massage with warm plant infusions. The treatment, recommended for a younger clientele, promotes key mechanisms of the healing process within the skin to help repair wrinkles and tissue firmness. Tip: We suggest booking therapist Maria D. for this treatment. Afterwards, we felt awakened and refreshed, and our skin absolutely glowed.

Sitting on the 19th floor of the iconic New York hotel, The Guerlain Spa is ice-castle-chic at its best (think whites, grays and creams highlighted with hanging crystals and Diamonte tile). The 14,000-square-foot space has 15 treatment rooms, consisting of 12 dry rooms and three wet therapy suites (for hydrotherapy and Vichy showers). The relaxation lounges offer views of Park Avenue and Manhattan.

Make your VIP’s spa experience even more luxurious with a stay in Waldorf Towers’ Presidential Suite. Every sitting American President since Herbert Hoover calls this suite home when in town.
