The Philadelphia Museum of Art Hosts Winslow Homer Exhibit

Calling all art aficionados: We hear that the Philadelphia Museum of Art is set to host an upcoming exhibition titled "Winslow Homer and 'The Life Line.'"

The exhibition will run from September 22 through December 16 and will be an in-depth look at the meaning of an iconic American image of rescue at sea.

Shipwreck! Winslow Homer and the Life Line
contains works by Homer in addition to paintings, etchings, engravings, sketches and ceramics ranging from the mid-17th century to the early 20th centuries.

If you are in Philadelphia, be sure to check out the Rodin Museum, which reopened July 13 following a major renovation. Over the last three years, the comprehensive renovation has restored the gardens designed by Jacques Greber, the Meudon Gate and the exterior of the Rodin Museum (both designed by Philadelphia architect Paul Cret) and the interior. The renovation also reinstalled the museum's collection.
