Rosewood is on a roll. From Washington D.C. to Luang Prubang, the luxury hotel company’s portfolio is growing by leaps and bounds. The most recent announcement concerns a brand-new property in Amsterdam. Situated in the Prinsengracht district, Rosewood Amsterdam will open in 2018 inside the former Palace of Justice, a building dating from the 17th century. It was acquired by CTF Development International Ltd, and is being redeveloped by Aedes Real Estate, which aims “to give the building a more open character” by opening up the lobby to the inner courtyards.

There will be 144 rooms, including 26 suites, and four dining venues. A highlight will be the signature Sense Spa, situated on the lower level, with a swimming pool and fitness center. This luxury hotel also aims to host business meetings and events, with lots of flexible function space including six conference rooms and a large ballroom facing a patio.

Dalles-based Rosewood Hotels & Resorts currently manages 19 luxury hotels in 12 countries, with 13 new properties in the pipeline, including the Hotel de Crillon in Paris which is currently undergoing a massive restoration.
