New Boutique Hotel To Burst onto the Bowery

We've heard that a new boutique hotel is going up on the Bowery in Manhattan - and from the looks of it, it's going to make quite a splash.

Formally used as an SRO by the Salvation Army, the supremely sleek new hotel is being built by the Paris-based Louzon Group.

The renderings created by architect Gene Kaufman echoes the gritty, punk-rock history of the Bowery, but infuses it with a decided dash of contemporary flare with blood-red LED lighting and a intricate series of Jenga-esque balconies sure to light up the night.
