New Luxury Lounge 30 Stories Above Waikiki

On Friday, Sheraton Waikiki opened its Leahi Club Lounge, marking the completion of the final phase of a comprehensive $188 million renovation to the 1,636 room resort on Waikiki Beach. (We hear that Leahi was constructed at a cost of $1 million.)

Leahi, Hawaii’s first Sheraton Club Lounge, is perched 30 floors above the shoreline and will have panoramic views of Waikiki Beach and the Waikiki skyline, as well as the finest views of Diamond Head from anywhere in Waikiki. Guests may access Leahi either via guest elevators to the resort’s 30th floor or via Sheraton Waikiki’s signature glass elevator located on the mountain side of the resort.

In addition to lounge seating and a buffet line area, Leahi also offers a media center with flat panel televisions and projectors, a mini Link@Sheraton area with computer work stations, an executive boardroom for up to 12 persons, a state-of-the-art sound system, and high-speed wireless internet access throughout. Lounge amenities will include concierge staff services, complimentary newspapers and magazines, delicious island-style continental and hot breakfast offerings from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., and daily special Hawaiian-style hors de oeuvres and cocktail offerings from 4 – 8 p.m. with entertainment nightly throughout the evening hours. In addition, an a la carte lounge menu will offer selections that follow Sheraton Waikiki’s resort-wide practice of offering farm-to-table snacks from Hawaii’s farms, prepared by local chef Ryan Loo. Beverages will range from Champagnes, to new world red and white wine selections, to locally-inspired mixed drinks and cocktails, to beer selections from local Hawaiian breweries.
