Meet Marina: Oceania Introduces New Ship to Agents
January 27, 2010 By: David Eisen
Oceania Cruises wants you to meet its newest fleet member: the 1,258-guest Oceania Marina, scheduled to launch in January 2011. How? Through a schedule of eight roadshows with the line's senior executives, including Frank Del Rio, Oceania Cruises’ founder and chairman and CEO of parent company Prestige Cruise Holdings. The first was Wednesday at The Ritz Carlton, Phoenix. The gala roadshow is designed to "stimulate the senses" and features a Champagne reception with live music followed by a gourmet lunch and multi-media presentation.
During the event, Oceania Cruises’ management team will preview Marina’s interior design elements including the Lalique-designed grand lobby and Owner’s Suites furnished by Ralph Lauren Home. Attendees will learn more about all 10 dining venues—six of which are no-charge, gourmet restaurants—including one by Chef Jacques Pépin. Among the facilities showcased will be the Canyon Ranch SpaClub and Bon Appétit Culinary Center.
The schedule after Phoenix is as follows:
February 2 – Montage, Beverly Hills
February 5 – Bently Reserve, San Francisco
March 2 – Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London
March 11 – W Hotel, Fort Lauderdale
March 16 – The Waldorf=Astoria, New York
March 19 – Windsor Arms, Toronto
March 23 – Chicago History Museum, Chicago
