Jetset Report: Four Seasons Punta Mita Unveils Aramara Restaurant
January 28, 2010 By: Meagan Drillinger
We hear that Four Seasons Punta Mita in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico, is embarking on new epicurean journeys with the opening of its new Aramara restaurant.
Aramara, which means 'a sacred place by the ocean' in the Huichol Indian language, will fuse contemporary Asian fare with ingredients from western Mexico.
To try: The dining experience would be incomplete without a taste of hot rock (thinly sliced steak cooked tableside) and robata (Japanese marinated skewers cooked over wood chips).
Guests can relax either indoors or outdoors in sleek, Zen-like style, taking in views of the Pacific ocean, while sharing specialty sushi rolls such as spicy mono, which is octopus and tuna tartar topped off with sweet unagi sauce.
VIP Treatment: Guests who want an intimate (and memorable) experience can book the Chef's Table, where the chef will pull out all the stops and match his creations with cocktails and wine.
Top pour: The Aramara Bar has a full menu covering everything from aperitifs to after-dinner drinks.
