Pacific Delight Tours Debuts Luxury River Cruise in Cambodia

We're pleased to hear that Pacific Delight Tours has debuted a five-star Mekong River cruise experience from Cambodia to Vietnam – the only program in the tour operator's portfolio which boasts this unique river border crossing.

The eight-day cruise features A-list accommodations in an outside stateroom on the five-star MS La Maguerite or MS Amalotus.

In addition to five-star accommodations, guests will discover folkloric dance and musical performances as well as more academic offerings like cultural discussions.

Anchored in Cambodia at Tonle Sap Lake, a UNESCO-designated biosphere, the cruise will begin its tour with sights of the varied bird life and  fishing villages surrounding Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake.

Following a hearty breakfast, guests will journey by motor boat into the lakeside wetlands which form the mouth of the Tonle Sap River followed by a jaunt to Kampong Tralach for an afternoon tour through the countryside, which includes an oxcart ride from the river bank to the Wat Kapong Tralach temple.

Travelers will also visit the village of Chong Koh, where they can view local silk weaving techniques or stroll through the village. By afternoon, the vessel will arrive at Phnom Penh, the current capital of Cambodia. In Phnom Penh, guests will embark on a walking tour.
